Car rental company here in the UK (can't remember which) started doing a crib-sheet for their cars a few years ago. When you picked up your rental car it had the manual there in the car but they included a single laminated A4 sheet with all the cars with all the 'getting started' info you'd need - which switch was the light, wipers, demist etc. Very popular with customers as I recall.
