SharePoint as source control system for FrameMaker?

Has anyone tried or used SharePoint as a source control system for
FrameMaker? The UI is designed for single files, such as a Word or
Excel doc, not sets of files, like a FrameMaker book or source code.
Or is there a batch tool for uploading / updating file sets?

I know you can't use FrameMaker's Workgroup feature with a SharePoint server.
