Is there any reason why you can't import your existing variables and
conditions into the new templates? (Import>Formats and then select
only the variables and conditions) I'm assuming that they want to use
their templates for the page layout, styles, formatting, fonts, etc.
That would seem to be the easiest solution.
I guess I'm unclear as to whether you are doing this new project from
scratch, or creating yet another variant of an existing project, but
with new templates?
