I'm looking for a wiki for a software development project that must be
able
to secure the site against public viewing. That is, only registered
users
should be able to see the content, and there should be granular
page-level
access for the site sections, if possible.
I think I've narrowed my selection to PMWiki and Dokuwiki; I tend to
like
PMWiki's syntax for editing a little better (Dokuwiki seems to require
spacing to signify levels of numbering).
Anyone prefer one over another, or a different one? Anyone have hosting
recommendations?
Thanks,
Rob

Rob, I am pretty sure that DokuWiki can handle that; we use it here, and
I'm looking at the admin page right now. Essentially, you set up user
groups, and each group has its own permissions. The permissions are:
*None, *Read, *Edit, *Create, *Upload, and *Delete.
Our developers haven't had any problems with it, and the interface is
pretty friendly.
Let me know (off-list) if you want a screenshot of the admin page.
