No.  The tools don't care.  Don't try to anthropomorphize them.

Seriously, as a writer, choosing the right tool should be a matter of
identifying your audience and the best means to communicate to them.  In
that regard, the "read-write-respond" vs. "read-respond" difference
matters in the tool selection process.
