Ordered the Tufte book based on your note, was reading it last night --
very, very nice. I like the way she starts out with short sentences and
builds from there into more complicated ones. It's so rare to be able
to just read for pleasure, even when reading a book on writing. (Bonus
points: She's apparently the wife of the late Edward Tufte, he of "The
Visual Display of Quantitative Information" et al fame.)
Searched for and downloaded the Navy QRC manual -- that looks nice and
look forward to reading that too.
The writer's block book looks interesting -- planning that for down the
line.
I've been in the business a long time but I always appreciate references
to really superb writing books. (Oh, and what makes the Tufte book so
nice is that it has a literary feel to it even as you're reading about
the craft. That's a rare combination.)
