In difficult times I draw a distinction between jobs that can't pay
my bills and ones that simply don't feed my ego as much as others.
At my last startup company, one of the "other tasks" I performed in addition to
managing the product documentation and engineering projects was processing the
accounts payable invoices. If someone wants to pay me a manager salary to do
filing, it's their money.

I guess it depends on how much you want/need the job and how much you're willing
to overlook. If they offered the job to you, perhaps you could show them that
they would be better served with you writing rather than filing. Also, I've
found that a congenial atmosphere makes up for a lot. But if you feel as though
you can't stand to perform lower-level tasks like filing, then this job may not
be for you.
