As an native-born American (tech writer) employee of a China-based company with its U.S. office right here in metro Atlanta, I myself am facing that problem, which means no answers to some very important technical questions I need answered so I can get a parts manual for a 3,000-ton crawler crane out of here by end of February.

Except that's when they return from holiday.
