There's no doubt that the job description worded this poorly, as can be seen by the fact that it could be misread - or misrepresented - as discrimination by nationality rather than by personality trait. A well-worded version should have produced only two possible reactions, either "I can do that," or "I don't think I can do that." As Peter correctly noted early on, the flaw is that the people with the personality trait the company wanted to avoid rarely recognize it in themselves.
