Hi All

I have just returned to a technical writing position after a break of three years (thanks to the joys of living in the Republic of Cyprus where TW jobs are few and far between).

My new post has me undertaking a joint position, QA and TW.

My boss has just informed me that I have a budget for training and can select any training course as long as it is relevant to my position.

We have just purchased the Adobe Technical Comms Suite for writing manuals and online help. I am an experienced user of FrameMaker 5 and RoboHelp, and a certified Expert for Word 2003.

I am keen to follow a course, online due to the size of the budget and our location, that will help me bring my skills base up to speed after the break and to assist with getting further work on a contracting basis or permanent overseas (UK/Europe) after the end of this current contract.

Can anyone recommend any courses for the following:

DITA

Structured Documents in FrameMaker

Quality Assurance

or have any recommendations for other training courses that will provide essential skills to help win contract work?

Many thanks

Claire
