I tried the Add-in approach as was suggested to me. When I did:
PowerPoint Options > Add-Ins, it is listed under Disabled Application
Add-Ins. I have Manage: COM Add-Ins selected then click Go. It appears on
the list, but not checked and Load Behavior says Unloaded. I check it, then
OK. But still no ribbon/toolbar. Exit and start PowerPoint, nada.

I tried repairing via Control Panel, it goes through its process, says it is
installed, tried the Add-In approach again (and again), but I kept getting
the same result.
