Get linux knoppix (free) set up your boot disk on cd or usb pen drive.

led_Windows.2FLinux.21.3F
and

I've used it on friends PCs to reset windows password or with a 2nd usb
drive to recover files.
Works even with bad boot sector.

Has anyone ever used password recovery software?? If so, do you have any
recommendations or warnings?? I have an old laptop that is perfectly usable
but I can't remember the password.
