I've seen marketing types get bent out of shape that we weren't selecting their fave fondled font, but only rarely.

My concern has always been, of course *technical*. Can the reader actually read what we have provided, or will there be confusion among (1, l, I, and |)? In the days of typesetting there was the additional problem that typographers would substitute their choices for certain characters or possibly "correct" the capitalization of code samples.

The current solution is either CSS or to use images that contain the precise appearance of the typeface you require.
