I agree. Instead, I ask the applicants if they're reviewed the Form
990 and are aware of the executive compensation history of the
nonprofit. That becomes the starting point for the compensation
range. Any applicant not comfortable with that range would, I hope,
opt out of the process or indicate their rationale why the nonprofit
should consider a significant change.
