Quick, somebody talk me down!
I'm this far >| |< from doing it. The second paragraph, below, I mean.
"Depending upon your application, or corporate security policies,
it might be necessary to backup the configuration and content
of your Wombat SA Transmogrifier. The Wombat SA Transmogrifier
backup is performed with the Wombat Remote Backup Womper.
The Wombat Remote Backup Womper - despite its [unfortunate name]
[<Expanding text> The term "Backup" was included in the name at
the insistence of Marketing and Product-Line Management persons
who really, really wanted to emphasize the off-site backup capability
[</Expanding text>] - is also the Wombat 'Local' Backup Womper.
We just don't call it that. If we called it the Wombat Local and Remote
Backup Womper, we'd quickly run out of electrons for this Help and
other product documents.
Via direct USB connection to the Wombat SA Transmogrifier, you
can perform local backup and restore operations.
By USB connection to a networked computer running the Wombat
Remote Backup server application, you can backup and restore
multiple Wombat SA Transmogrifier appliances, located anywhere
in the world. [etc....] "
Hold me back!
Didn't I argue against that name for the backup unit?
Aren't the trainers and sales people already coming back
with the predictable questions and quizzical expressions?
Didn't I just sweep chocolate crumbs into my keyboard?
(Oh. Sorry. Sorry. Wrong context on that last one.)
Commiserations? Suggestions (other than "Don't do it,
you fool!")?
</kevin> (formerly posting as Jefe de Redaccion - too snobbish to
revert to plain "Editor in Chief")
