I wonder if Frame 8 can handle the XML that InDesign can export?

I believe that might be worth trying, at least, rather than going 
through a multi-step process.

I would not hold out great hope that much of the formatting will be 
retained, though. Unfortunately, the time to have properly worried about 
this was before the original app was disposed of, as part of the 
transitional planning.

At various gigs, I have had similar challenges regarding legacy apps in 
various older publishing systems--such as Ventura Publisher or Interleaf.

(At one gig, I found a book on Interleaf at a Half Price Books store on 
a Thursday evening, as I recall, and had to be able to update the legacy 
doc starting Monday morning using Interleaf. I regretted later not 
having more chance to learn the software better--it had some definite 
advantages at the time.)

It appears that Interleaf is still with us, although these days it's 
called QuickSilver and sold by Broadcom. I wonder if anyone here is 
using it?
