TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I have participated in public BBS systems, forums, wikis, mail lists,
and blogs since well before Al Gore invented the Internet.
I have also owned or moderated lists and forums of sizes ranging from a
handful to many thousands of members.
In all that time, if pressed I could perhaps come up with a handful of
sites as well administered as TECHWR-L, or at least arguably so.
I could not name any that are or have been superior.
To maintain such a high standard over so many years is a feat of
near-mythic proportions.
My sincere thanks and admiration to the Rays--you have set a very high
bar for others to emulate.
May you enjoy continued success in all your endeavors, and many years of
health and happiness to enjoy them.
David
