Hi, all.

I'm new to the list, so please forgive me if this has recently been covered.

We have a new course coming up that we need a textbook or reference book for. It's called "Applied Workplace Writing" and will have students who are primarily working in a writing-intensive position (there will be some who are in the course and program to move up into more writing-intensive positions). The goal of the course is to use their own projects from work as the material projects of the course, so we'll have journalists, professionals, entry-level staffers in a variety of businesses, and technical writers.

While I'd like to use one book for all, I don't want students paying a fortune for something they use only a tiny portion of. I've been digging through book catalogs and through stacks of short guides that I have used in the past for introductory courses, but I'm not finding anything that seems appropriate. Does anyone have some suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Sonja
