That's not because there are too many posts, but because MadCap's
search engine is lame. (It seems like the forums use the same search
engine as Flare Webhelp.) I use Google instead. I saved a bookmark to
a search for site:forums.madcapsoftware.com, when I want to look
something up I load that and add my keywords.
Flare's search syntax is also undocumented in the help itself, though
it has been available in a knowledgebase article for four years:
