That's still a hard break -- just a line break instead of a paragraph break. It's still inserting a character in the string.
I don't want to insert anything in the string. I just want Word to wrap text to the next line after a / if there isn't room for the next "word" of the string.
As I said, in FM that's trivially easy. Go to Format > Document > Text Options. In the Allow Line Breaks After field, type /. Click Apply. It's done.
Does Word not provide any similar means of controlling how text wraps?
