There are software testers who wince when they break something, and
there are those who laugh (or crow!). Don't know if this is a gender
thing or just random.
In my experience, it has been testers who are also developers who wince, even if they haven't coded for the product they are testing.
Testers who only test usually don't react one way or the other. They just file their bug reports and move on.
We part-time testers who don't code are the ones who crow, chortle, and dance jigs.
