Thanks, everyone, for the help.

Yes, some of the wording seemed awkward, but this is one of those situations most of us have been in where there is a project you work on but you don't have a clean slate or the power to alter anything as a committee has taken that away from you. It is a classic too many cooks scenario.

However, she was able to take the suggestions from all of you, managed to rework a few items, put it back into the system, and get the voice-over people and others to run through without much notice that things had changed.

It has been a good educational experience, in learning that managing and juggling all the people involved and keeping them going the direction you want can often overwhelm the actual production work you are doing.

I agree that diversified does not see like the correct word. One of the first things that came to mind is "flexible" (for the first sentence), but I don't think that's quite it either.

I assumed that there was a reason for using that particular word, since this was a school project.

Rather than "herbivorous animals", I might use "herbivores" (isn't herbivorous animal somewhat redundant?),

No, it is not redundant. "Herbivorous" means to feed on plants, but it does not mean that an animal is feeding on plants. There can be other organisms that feed on plants.

or why not just say "plant-eating animals".

The animals are classified as "herbivorous." The piece covered diversification of animals. Animals that are diversified by diet include those that are carnivorous, herbivorous, and omnivorous.
