need of improvement?

Yes! HelpSmith. It's not freeware after the first 30 days, but that's
quite a while. It's true that I have been away from creating online help
for many years now, but still, I have a grasp of the main concepts, and I
could not find instructions for the most basic things in its online help.
See www.helpsmith.com.

I finally decided that with all the things I've got going on now, I could
not figure this thing out in time to make webhelp for documentation that
is due by next week, and we decided to go with only a PDF manual for now.

BTW, has anyone used HelpSmith? It seems good on the surface, and costs a
helluva lot less than RoboHelp ($199). Our company is so tiny that I can't
imagine them budgeting for RoboHelp.
