Like many of you, I'm a veteran technical writer. I've previously done
freelance authoring for the likes of Ziff-Davis, along with some technical
editing for Que, but that was years ago. I now have an opportunity to
ghostwrite a blog, and possibly a book, about the use of a well-known
software product within the business realm. The principal is eager to know
what I'd charge for this work and how I prefer to be compensated on an
ongoing basis.
What are your thoughts about this? Are there sites where I might get an
idea regarding freelance rates and sample contracts?
