I just meant that when he uses the VM client to connect to the VM, he
throws me out of my RD connection to the same VM. The RD connection is
preferable because the VM client shows a phenomenal lag time over the
VPN, whereas the RD connection doesn't. The only advantage of the VM
client is that it allows multiple access, whereas the RD connection
doesn't. But we don't usually need multiple access.

I am pleased to report that I knew the meaning of "defenestrate" . . .
I'm just trying to figure out how Dan is using it.

It could mean that he will get the blue screen of death, thus throwing
him out of Windows . . . .

I prefer to believe that there is a cadre of Remote Desktop Special Ops
elves hanging around just outside his door, and if his colleague dares
to peek at the VM for just one second, they will rush in and toss Dan,
chair and all, out the window.
