I'm a detailed writer and, when I have the time, I try to write to the point that, when you're finished reading, there are no questions left to ask. At a recent position I had, Training would ask for a copy of my guides and write their training guides from there. Also, I could look to their guides, later on, for customer-process-related information that I could add to the next release of my guides, that I wouldn't have known about otherwise.
