Monique, unless you want to make something up ("I fagaffled 257 more today."), I don't think you can replace all of your phrase with a single verb.

Maybe if you write a sentence just leaving a blank for the word you seek, that will trigger something. Context will help.

P.S. I'm going to claim fagaffled for future use. Just don't tell F*******k I borrowed the Fa and made it lower case.

So, any suggestions that adhere to those requirements?

I'm thinking that there aren't any, but I was just wishful of a shorter way to say "gain followers", which I believe is perfectly in keeping with Facebook guidelines (with which I am already familiar).
