Sadly, the Office 2010 ribbon is less customizable than the Office 2003
menu bar. But 2010 is a lot better than 2007, and I've learned to
converse with it pretty fluently.

Someone referred to the "non-intuitive" menus in Word 2003. Heh. I've
seen as many non-intuitive items in the Ribbon as I have in the menus.
The advantage of the old menus* was that you could fully customize them
to suit your own intuition.

[* Yes, yes, I know: old, going away, moving on, history. I get it.]

Office 2007 and 2010 provide for customizable and self-made ribbons to
make the apps work the way you want them to, so why not use them to make
the apps work the way you want them to?

Change is only good if you think it makes your life better.
