I just noticed this on a local Python mailing list.

Light Table is an interesting new proposed developer IDE, which has documentation baked-in. The first principle of the IDE: "You should never have to look for documentation". Searching for various kinds of docs seems to be well-integarted into IDE.

Besides search abilities, the IDE based on a REPL, and saves the REPL session output to generate a Literate Programming-style document of the code, for source documentation.

So, two unique uses of technical documentation by this IDE. Nice ideas.
