We all know that typos and improper word use are problems and quite
aggravating to those of us who strive to write well, but dissecting a
general newspaper's headline writing gaffes is inappropriate and violates two
cardinal rules of the list <http://www.techwr-l.com/rules-expectations.html>
:
- If it doesn't clearly and directly relate to technical communication,
don't post it.
- If it relates to *language use* but not technical communication, it
probably isn't appropriate. Don't post it.
Time to drop this thread.
