Hi Debbie,

You're talking about progressive disclosure. As Sharepoint is a web
system, theoretically it should be possible to achieve that effect.
However you will need access to edit web parts, or install a plugin.
Adding cut and paste JavaScript and CSS will introduce a world of
hurt, because Sharepoint "cleans" HTML.

Also, if you opt for the cheap and simple jump mark/named anchor link
method, know that when adding links with the built in system, the
target address needs to be fully qualified. This means you can't link
to a target on the same page <a href="#gohere">, you need to add the
full web address <a
href="http://full.sharepoint.site/and-page#gohere";>

That really bugs me.
