If you can add "by zombies" you have passive voice:

"She was killed [by zombies.]" <-- Makes sense? Yes. It's passive voice.

"Zombies killed [by zombies] her." <-- Makes sense? No. It's active voice.


Of course, it doesn't say whether it has uses in tech com.
