In re: Lee's post suggesting UMS and/or MTP -- In most cases, users shouldn't need to care which protocol is being used over the USB connection, and that's what those terms relate to. I like, and use, "USB drive"; if there are technical restrictions on either the type of drive or the protocol, those will need to be described somewhere in the documentation, but needn't be embedded in the phrase that's going to be scattered all over the doc.
