I believe I used CUD's template mapper plug-in for FM.

I don't care if Word doesn't include it as a native feature...point me to
an add-in.

I don't think it exists in FrameMaker either, unless you install the
FrameScript plug-in and set up a script.  But I am the reverse of you,
haven't been in FM since 2007.

The Styles pane will allow you to choose an existing style, right-click and
select all instances of it and change them en masse to another style, but
only one at a time.

This MIGHT be programmable to do what you want:

organizer. I picture the two style lists just the way it is, but with the
ability to connect each individual style from one side to the other. This
