Yes, I thought art in a museum was curated by a curator. But I see the term a lot in hip, up-to-the-minute Internet areas, and it seems pretentious to me. It seems like the kind of word that a marketing person would love, especially in the Internet startup field. "We're curating the back end of this innovative new app, and using special words like this gets the attention of the financial backing firms."
