Does decorating the company Christmas tree count? :)

If not, then... Creating a demo of not-quite-finished software to reassure the partners who were anxiously awaiting it. Oh, those hours in Paint Shop Pro painstakingly creating the not-working-yet screens with the painstaking detail of the obsessive perfectionist. Not to mention the voice recording takes and retakes on the sofa at home (offices have /lousy/ sound quality!) praying the cats wouldn't mew at an inopportune moment...

I sent the fruits of my labours of love to the CEO, and was rewarded by an email saying, in its entirety, 'Dogs dangly bits' [sic]. It took me quite a long time to realize that that was a compliment :)

(It played to packed audiences throughout our partner's offices, and they asked for more. Apparently the southern-English-accent-with-just-a-hint-of-Scots was a bit of a hit...)
