I thought I did just that this morning, Robert, in that I was pretty
certain that this position reports to the organization's communications VP.
I sent her a LinkedIn InMail, only to have her reply that 1) the position
doesn't report to her and 2) try my luck with the posting on the website
(little more than a HR -at- _________ address). Further LinkedIn research does
not yield an HR contact.
If I ultimately go the direct (blind) email route, at least I won't have to
fill in one those ridiculous lengthy forms where I have to regurgitate
everything that's on my resume.
