I'm not sure what my favourite project to work on has been; there've been a lot that I've found fun, for all sorts of different reasons. But my favourite deliverable was definitely the introductory document I wrote at my last company, just after I'd started work and while I was trying to get to grips with how the different bits of the product fitted together.

The VP of Engineering was dubious about the need for such a document. During the wrangling, I sent it out to a couple of people for review.

Two days later, I got comments from people I hadn't sent it to.

Two more days later, I got comments from people I'd never heard of.

Two days further on, I got comments from people thanking me for the exactly the document they'd needed to... send on to their clients...

It's possibly the only thing I've written that didn't so much get released as escape into the wild. Still; it was intensely satisfying to have people so grateful for something I'd written; and the VP never brought up the subject again :)

I'm just curious.

What has been the favorite project you've ever worked on?

What has been your favorite deliverable?

You can have more than one, if you want - this is a springboard for discussion, not a prescriptive survey.
