There are so many variables into how much time it takes to properly deliver
a course! Experience with a particular material set is needed to know how
long it will take to deliver.

That being said, the average person speaks at about 120 words per minute.
So if the students will not be permitted questions or other interactions
and will simply sit through the lecture, a three-hour lecture should be
about 21,000 words. Obviously this is just a starting point and of course
you start decreasing that number as interactions and questions are
permitted.
