Hi David,

Can you point us to any recent studies? All I could find was this article http://reason.com/archives/1996/06/01/typing-errors/print claiming that the original pro-Dvorak studies were bogus.

Thanks!

Dan

So I bought a soft-touch keyboard - the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. It's holding up well, and very easy to type on. I wasn't looking for one with backlight, but now that I have it I love it. I don't remember the price. It's just really comfortable to use.

I can highly recommend:

and go with a Dvorak layout. Statistics state a 40% less likelihood of carpal tunnel syndrome/RSI and the same percentage in touch typing speed increase.
I've never experienced the former, but can vouch for the latter.

which wear off when you no longer need them leaving you with the blank keys which nobody else can use.
Cheers!

David
