Hmm. I've used Xenu to check websites, and I know you can select a local file system. Worth a shot.

What is your favorite tool for checking links in published webhelp, at an arbitrary location, but NOT as a website?

I know there are lots and lots of web-based services that will scan your site for you, but this is private documentation that is not on the web.

Google is somewhat my friend in looking for off-line link checking, but I'd like to know what the pros are using, and why you prefer this-or-that tool.

Thanks,

-k
