Find out his system configuration. Check the browser levels and his system OS version. After that I would check how his browser is configured. There is a reason for the discrepancy. I usually find out that it is a browser version/system configuration. For instance, MSIE has a compatibility setting that when turned on does not render html as other browsers. It will not display right if you are viewing the html on your computer. It changes the html rendering when viewed from a host system. Also, google the problem. I find most of the problem solves there.
Good luck.

You could try to force the superscripting with inline CSS. That's a kludge.

Subject: Weird HTML problem
Hi All,
I hope someone has some wise suggestions for this.
I am viewing HTML files automatically generated by a contractor for us.
There are superscripted numbers (for references) throughout. From time to time, some of the superscripts are NOT superscripted. I've looked at the code and its clean.
But the problem is repeatable in Google Chrome and IE 8 and IE 10 on XP and Windows 8. (two different and unrelated computers)
Now here is the killer:
The contractor in the USA cannot repeat the problem when they view the files.
How do I proceed to figure out WHY and to get the display correct?
Thanks in advance,
Deborah
