We had a discussion in here a while back about using GitHub in relation to technical communication. I just ran across a project where the person loves GitHub and is trying to make some changes that would make it easier for writers to use. He doesn't talk about the usual areas of writing that we talk about in techwr-l, but it gives a lot of good info (like why you would even consider GitHub for writing) and also links out to wider discussions on the issue. Very interesting!
