Julie, I also find Gmail works really well with mailing lists. There's
certainly no need to be on digest â it's better to have each separate post
for possible starring or easier searching, as you mention. As for LinkedIn
groups, there are some very good discussions, but it's really not easy to
find things later.

I find that Twitter and Google+ are best for links to other things, such as
blog posts or upcoming events. Although there are more people on Twitter,
the Google+ experience has the edge in my opinion. The preview snippets of
shared content work better, and you can edit after posting.
