I am confused. I entered the field because of many of the aspects mentioned
as something other than technical writing. And I wonder, how can you be a
technical writer without being interested in usability? Or technology? Or
how people learn? Or in translating stakeholders requirements into what
they really want and need? I like the complexity of it all - and I like the
challenge of using the resources at hand to deliver the best possible
solutions.

What is technical writing supposed to be?
