PDF comment reply text not showing - Acrobat XI Pro

Hello, writers,
I recently upgraded to Acrobat XI Pro, and the problem is that when I Reply to a PDF annotation (Comment), the Reply text is not showing! The comment shows that Iâve made a reply, but thereâs no text there. And yes, Iâm positive that Iâve typed in the text as soon as I clicked Reply.
(Even in the old versions it seemed that if you moved focus away from the reply before typing any text, you could never again open the reply. So I got used to typing *something* immediately upon opening the Reply text entry box.)
Any ideas what the problem is? Have you ever seen this?
Set up is:
* Acrobat XI Pro (which I purchased because even though X Standard *should* have worked for the Shared Review, it didnât without a cumbersome editing of the PDFâs JavaScript, so I just threw $$ at the problem).
* Windows 7.
* Method of PDF generation doesnât seem to matter; Iâve got this issue from PDFs generated from Oxygen-authored DITA content via the DITA-OT, and from MS Word via the Acrobat tab on the ribbon.
* An engineering team thatâs finally gotten used to using the Comment Reply feature in Shared Reviews to facilitate conversation, so I really want this to work!
I googled and searched the Adobe Forums, but didnât find anybody else reporting this.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
-Monique
