I don't.  The fact that I find a similar bug may be significant.  Maybe someone has been working on something, and think they're close to fixing it.  My finding may indicate their fix isn't right or that something else has gone wrong.  There may be significance in the fact I'm finding the same problem when I'm using a different machine, or a different network connection, or a different browser, or in some other factor where a difference in the setup can show a different facet of the problem. It may be important to see the timing of a duplicate finding. 


The fact that a bug report may be a *duplicate* is not necessarily bad or unwanted - the question is whether or not it is an unnecessary duplication, and sometimes a second iteration of a bug report is instructive.
