This August was 10 years for me. I could move closer but my son and family are still there and also my wifes kids w/families are there. Iâve been a vol. firefighter for that area since 1982. I have roots.

Holy carp. 87 miles?
Must be one hell of a job. I don't think I could do that for any real length of time....

I was wondering:
1. When does everyone get up in the morning for work?
** I have been arising at 3:30 a.m. I shower, feed the pets, prepare and eat breakfast and prepare and pack my lunch, perhaps a little time to read the newspaper while I await my carpool.
2. If you drive to an office, how many miles is your commute?
** My commute is 87 miles each way.
3. How long is your work day?
** I arrive at work at 6:30ish, but my workday officially is 7:00 - 4:00.
