looking to return to tech pubs after many years away

Hi,
I have been away from techrw-l for a while. The last time I was on this list
was probably 1999 or 2000. I had spent several years as technical writer or
tech pubs manager, but due to organizational changes I moved into Web
content management where I stayed for a decade. I was laid off in July. I am
finding that Web content jobs are not as abundant as I might hope, and so I
am exploring how I might get back into technical publications. I am open to
either a staff or a contract position. I am in the Silicon Valley area.
I would appreciate any guidance, suggestions, or advice. Please email me
privately off-list.
Many thanks,
Mike Christie
