Neither translation nor (necessarily) ESL. It's just someone else's article that was run through a thesaurus. "Getting their ft moist" was "getting their feet wet"; "actually sensible" was probably something like "really smart".

Another article on the same site, one about humor, refers to "Invoice Cosby." If you put Bill Cosby through a thesaurus and don't worry about what happens, that's the sort of thing you get. Worse, if you Google for "Invoice Cosby" you get a stinking plethora of hits, presumably ALL of them from stinking click farms.

Until today I had not realized how much a plethora could stink.
